FrontierNet will soon require
its customers to identify themselves when sending e-mail through our
outgoing (SMTP) mail servers. To help this transition, our "SMTP
Auth-o-matic" program will configure SMTP
authentication for all Frontier e-mail accounts* that are present in
Outlook Express**.
*Frontier e-mail accounts include @frontiernet.net,
@citlink.net, @ctaz.com, and @newnorth.net.
**If you are using another e-mail client, or a non-Frontier
e-mail account, please
click here for manual instructions on how to setup SMTP
authentication for your mail accounts.
Please Note:
- SMTP Auth-o-matic only works with Windows 98/ME/2000/XP.
- SMTP Auth-o-matic only supports Outlook Express 5 or 6.
- SMTP Auth-o-matic will handle all identities
within a Windows user account, but you must run the program for each
user account if you have more than one.
- SMTP Auto-o-matic is not
compatible with Windows Vista or Windows Mail.
You will need to close Outlook Express before
running the program.
