for Macintosh
Step 1:
To enable SMTP Authentication in Eudora version 6.2 for Macintosh , while you are
in Eudora, click on "Special" and then select "Settings".

Step 2:
If your "Checking Mail - Mail Server" is pop3.frontiernet.net,
pop3.citlink.net, or pop3.newnorth.net, and your "SMTP Server" is smtp.frontiernet.net, smtp.citlink.net, or smtp.newnorth.net, make sure that your complete
FrontierNet, Citlink, or Newnorth
e-mail address is entered in the "User Name" field.
If your "Checking Mail - Mail Server" and "SMTP Server" is
mail.ctaz.com, make sure that your CTAZ e-mail address is
entered in the "User Name" field in the format of "username@citlink.net"
(replace "ctaz.com" with "citlink.net"). Please note, this will
*not* change your e-mail address.
Select the "Sending Mail" icon on the left-hand side of the window to proceed. Next
>>>
If your "Mail Server (Incoming)" is anything other than
pop3.frontiernet.net, pop3.citlink.net, mail.ctaz.com, or pop3.newnorth.net, but your "SMTP
Server (Outgoing)" is smtp.frontiernet.net, smtp.citlink.net,
mail.ctaz.com, or smtp.newnorth.net, you may be unable to send
e-mail using Eudora 6.2. We are currently looking for a resolution
for this issue, and should we find a solution, we will post it on this page.
If your "SMTP Server (Outgoing)" is set to something
other than smtp.frontiernet.net, smtp.citlink.net, mail.ctaz.com, or smtp.newnorth.net, no changes
need to be made at this time.

Step 3:
In the "E-mail Address" field, make sure that your complete FrontierNet,
Citlink / CTAZ, or Newnorth e-mail address is present. If you are using
a CTAZ e-mail address, be sure to enter the address in the "User
Name" field in the format of "username@citlink.net" (replace "ctaz.com" with "citlink.net").
Please note, this will *not* change your e-mail address.
The box
to the left of "Allow authorization" should be checked. Click "OK" to
save any changes you may have made. That's it! SMTP authentication has
been enabled.
